Angelo Notaro founded Notaro, Michalos & Zaccaria P.C. in 1983. With more than 40 years of experience, he handles a wide range of matters including complex negotiations, litigation and transactions. He counsels clients in all aspects of intellectual property, internet and e-commerce law, and contract matters.
His extensive in-depth experience in intellectual property matters includes litigation of utility and design patents, trademark, copyrights, unfair competition, false advertising, and trade secrets and counsels clients on intellectual property strategies.
Angelo also has significant trademark experience which include counseling clients on brand selection, conducting trademark clearance investigations, and prosecuting trademark applications.
He advises clients and develops strategics for obtaining foreign patent and trademark protection.
Angelo prepares and negotiates a broad spectrum of contracts, including intellectual property licenses, trademark coexistence agreements, OEM and reseller agreements, manufacturing agreements, master services agreements, product purchase and sale agreements, distribution agreements, independent sales representative agreements, non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, infomercial development agreements, media buying agreements, drop-ship and fulfillment agreements, warehouse agreements, consultant agreements, work-for-hire agreements, influencer agreements, settlement and release agreements, employee and PEO agreements, and other complex commercial agreements. Additionally, he develops website privacy policies to protect personally identifiable information in compliance with applicable data privacy laws, and drafts comprehensive terms and conditions and arbitration agreements.
He has litigated hundreds of intellectual property matters in federal courts in various locales, and has represented clients in appeals, oppositions and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and in proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
